You can have sat at Goodison on Saturday and thought he hadn’t lost crowd or players.

His times up. He’s a nice guy but just not a premier league manager.
In comparison to pretty much any other manager we’ve had recently he definitely hasn’t lost the crowd. They’re resigned to him not being good enough, but they still support him. The players are still trying, but the tactics on Tuesday were abysmal and so it made no difference.
 

Sack him and it's more of the same from the board, though. Lampard has underperformed, nobody is denying that, but the board have been worse and for 6 years. Replace the board and then make a decision on the coaching staff. That is the only way forward.

Even if they started replacing the board it wouldn't happen overnight and if it takes until say March we'll already be stuck right amongst the bottom 3.
