The board now have a week to get him players for probably the most important game in years. That they won’t, and everyone knows they won’t is exactly why he gets a lot of slack. The club is being crippled but not by Lampard.

You would assume its because they dont know if they are keeping him or not, spending more and then sacking the manager would be mad too.

It's a messy one, we should not be in this situation.

Oh sorry, I misunderstood. Yes there's been games where we have scored 1 goal to win us 1 game against West Ham and also get us a point against Leeds, Brentford. We also scored 2 against Southampton.

So yeah mate, we are flying with our 12 league goals this season. New manager will have us playing like Argentina, I don't know what I was even thinking.

Of course we wouldn`t "slot for fun" as you put it but we`d score more than we do now and be better set up, game management better which brings results.

We had some Moyes teams without strikers if you remember and still did OK...

5-3-2 it takes him so long to realise this works best for the current group of players. Why so stubborn…insisting on 4-3-3 which does not work in the past?

I don't. I think marginal gains will be enough. The table is tight. It won't take too much to do enough to stay up. But the current fella is a lost cause. He's lost more than half of his 42 matches. Lost. Untenable.

Whilst it's not definite, it's very likely. We've won 1 in about 12 games.

I really want him to be a success. I do go back to the same question though, what on earth did we do during the 6 weeks for the world cup? We came back and changed nothing.
