Standards have collapsed. Well done, Bill!Loads saying good result, we lost again. 6 losses in 8, get rid of him.
This is what we are all starting to see and Lampard will possibly lose his job over it. He can't keep changing tactics each game he needs a set up that will give us the best possible chance and I think we all know what it is due to performances. I hope he realises quickly for our sake and his own sakeNot saying Frank is above criticism, the change in system from the decent performance at city to the 433 v Brighton with the players we had available was just stupid, and his record is very sorry reading, so if he gets the bullet I get it, but I don’t get how everyone thinks a new manager is gonna get that lot of shithouses in lie suddenly playing like brazil70 and slotting from all over the place, particularly if it’s Dyche or bloody moyes who comes in. These players are just not up to it.
That 532 is our best system atm, even against the likes of Brighton at home - we created more opportunities and have a more solid base with it. Go longer to Dominic Calvert-Lewin/Simms and get players around them. Not my favourite tactic or style, but it’s the way out of this hole.
Sadly, if he is still in a job, Frank will probably pick some other mad system or go back to that 433 with bloody Tom Davies starting and bollocks it up anyway.
Surely he cannot get another game in charge?
It could be too late by then.
I really want him to be a success. I do go back to the same question though, what on earth did we do during the 6 weeks for the world cup? We came back and changed nothing.
Oh, I’m with you. He should be gone tonight. He won’t be, though. Like it or not, I think he will get Southampton. If we limp to a dreary win, he’ll get the next game, too, because our idiot board want to view every “positive” result (regardless of performance) as a corner turned. It’s easier than having to have any kind of plan.We shouldn't be basing appointments off one game regardless.
They either think he is the right man or not, if he is then back him, if he isnt then get rid and back someone else.
I am at the point of believing that Lampard is not hugely under performing with the quality of this squad. I believe we are, without investment, one of the 3 worst squads in the league.
He should do better and he must do better. But I have seen enough energy and effort from the players tonight to believe that THEY believe.
Also, Assuming he isn’t sacked tonight, we have 7 days until Southampton. How likely, knowing how poorly run we are, that we can sack Lampard (agreeing whatever settlement with him and his team) and identify and hire a replacement in time?
Moshiri.Standards have collapsed. Well done, Bill!
Yes, and any half decent manager other than him would
Totally agreeAm I allowed to say that, whilst things obviously look a bit perilous at the moment, it still isn't a foregone conclusion that he'll take us down?
The story of this season is not getting attackers in. Two who could have got 4 ot 5 each by now (not too difficult) and we'd be where Villa are.
That's what's done for Frank.
The team are obvioulsy still 100% behind him.
No it isn`t most now, I think the tide has turned... apologies. I`ll put that down to a typo becuase I know it isn`t most Everton fans....you said “most everton fans”
would rather keep frank than staying up
