All I'll say is that while nobody can read the future (well, maybe Mystic Meg) and nobody has a monopoly on insight and knows exactly how all of this will pan out, I just hope that people who insist of sticking with Frank stick to their guns if we do eventually go down. No buyer's remorse or post-relegation remorse. I think the man should have been sacked in November. While there is no guarantee a new man would keep us up, I'd have no problem owning that decision if it happened/happens. It was/is a chance that is worth taking, in my view. But if Frank stays, let nobody start the regretful stuff if it all goes tits up. You were warned.

By the same token, if he does stay and keeps us up, hats off to his loyalists.

5-3-2 it takes him so long to realise this works best for the current group of players. Why so stubborn…insisting on 4-3-3 which does not work in the past?

Does Sean Dyche improve the chances of 19th placed Everton remaining in the league with 20 games to go?
Being honest I don't think it will make a blind bit of difference. Squad isn't good enough and that's on the board. Digne for myko last season on bentizs say so. Richarlison for McNeil this season. Taking an eternity to replace coleman, next to nothing through the academy. Historical waste. We are where we deserve to be.

The only reason we survived last season was the galvanising effect the lampard/benetiz change to the fan base and club as a whole which was probably more to do with benitez than lampard tbh. It was so toxic towards the end of fsw. Lets be honest it was was supporters effect on games that kept us in the league last season. Not quality, just desire and passion transferring onto the pitch and Lampard making the right noises to g them up. Its like because we got away with it last year the board believed we were better than we are. Our recruitment has been dogger, I look at wolves squad, villa's squad, leeds squad and we are comfortably worse imo. Even forest have a decent side on paper. Recalling Simms tells you all you need to know about the budget for this window.

While people waffle on about the board, Frank Lampard is getting us relegated. Lampard out now! The board will have to wait.
When do you address the board then? Our owner literally set the board a deadline to appease the fan base. "Judge us after the transfer window closes" he said. Well, the transfer window closed, we are 18th and now into another transfer window with no prospect of adding the required quality and they have moved the goalposts. They won't even acknowledge their failure.

Think he will get Southampton game but the board have the finger resting on the fire trigger I reckon. Who is available? Getting rid of FL and his management team won’t be cheap.

If they went ambitious, Pochettino if they could tempt him would be a good shout, not Dyche. Heard rumours about Celtic manager also, he might be tempted but doesn’t have EPL experience and just 18 months in Scotland but managed Australia.

I am at the point of believing that Lampard is not hugely under performing with the quality of this squad. I believe we are, without investment, one of the 3 worst squads in the league.

He should do better and he must do better. But I have seen enough energy and effort from the players tonight to believe that THEY believe.

Also, Assuming he isn’t sacked tonight, we have 7 days until Southampton. How likely, knowing how poorly run we are, that we can sack Lampard (agreeing whatever settlement with him and his team) and identify and hire a replacement in time?
You could also throw in the fact that the last couple of days of media coverage, about the unrest at the clubs board, might put off credible managers.

Im afraid just like we needed Big Sam after that horrendous Southampton game, we now need Sean Dyche. All the balls about him relegating Burnley is drivel, he got them in the PL and kept them there overperforming all the time. Major lack of investment found them out over a long period of time. I think someone should be able to get more out of this squad, we are playing the wrong game!
