2022/23 Frank Lampard

To be fair to Dyche he has not been afforded the same opportunities that Moyes and Lampard have had. He is a manager I would have no issues with us looking at but not as some solution to stop us going down.
TBH I wouldnt want for Moyes or Dyche. Those type of managers have fairly low ceilings....

Im afraid just like we needed Big Sam after that horrendous Southampton game, we now need Sean Dyche. All the balls about him relegating Burnley is drivel, he got them in the PL and kept them there overperforming all the time. Major lack of investment found them out over a long period of time. I think someone should be able to get more out of this squad, we are playing the wrong game!

ye were flush for cash

It was referencing someone saying stick to 532. Southampton sit deep. Coleman and Myko will get near the box and then turn round and pass backwards all game
Myko is awful vinagre should be getting a game. And Coleman got forward on a couple of occasions not the answer we need new full backs but Gordon and McNeil definitely aren’t the answer there.

He realised late, but *just* in time last season that he needed to be pragmatic.

The loon was going to Spurs with a high press and trying to go toe-to-toe. He wanted Everton to"enjoy the ball"

He finally twigged that we had to do what was necessary.

He has the same conflict this season I think. He talks about what Everton fans expect all the time in style - front foot etc.

We don't have the players to play how he's trying. It's resulted in us being spanked 7-1 over 2 games Vs Bournemouth, and losing what? 3 league games on the spin at Goodison to struggling teams.

It's why I'm saying a more pragmatic manager, with nous of working with less able teams would improve our odds.

Lampard, with this team as is relegate us.
Im at a loss, I really am, a few people recently have asked me my thoughts, how do we fix it, do we stick with Frank?

I havent got a clue, but 3 wins in 18, not arsed we are out the cups, its what we do, but meh, is it possible for somebody to do a worse job? It seems unlikely.

I do really "like" Lampard, but, Christ.

I slate them as much as anyone, but I dont think Everton are a rabble.

It's obvious to me that if they're all 'at it' and they had a couple of new attacking outlets then the season would change quickly for us.

The owner and board have to move heaven and earth to get those reinforcements in. It's as simple as that if we want to get safe.
Yeah deffo. It's amazing how just a signing or two can completely change a teams fortunes. Look at Campbell and Gemmill coming in for us. A has been striker and a bog average midfielder yet they turned us around massively just by offering something new. Gemmills role in us staying up always gets overlooked I find.

Do you trust the board to replace him with a manager who will suddenly make us good?
No.

They'll turn to Dyche because he's cheap.

I have serious doubts over Dyche. I know the theory: gets compact and gets the ball forward quickly, but I'm not convinced he'd fit in here with these players. And I think the manager we have can keep the opposition out as well if not better than Dyche if he set up for it all the time...he just wont.

Someone like Nuno would be my choice. He's defensive minded and he knows how to get decent players into a game to influence it.

Moyes is 1 point better off currently than Lampard woth a far superior squad. So you'd be wanting him sacked if he was our current manager yeah?

Starting from scratch, pre season and IN TOTAL CONTROL OF THE club, Moyes would do better than Lampard as he has a proven track record.
Moyes coming in now, it'll be another Sunderland type relegation for him which took him years to rebuild his rep

this

Tbh I think we as fans deserve relegation this year for the gymnastics people are doing to keep Lampard based off of every piece of evidence that we're going down under him. Regardless of your feelings on the board and ownership, he's an immediately changeable part that also needs to happen. We have the manager we deserve.

Another tedious inept defeat. Come in Mr Lampard, your time is well and truly up. The board have to act this weekend and get rid of this useless pathetic manager

I totally agree. Don’t see someone solving the route to goal/goal crisis with these players. And as you say, who the f… would want to come here and try? Nobody I’d want, pretty sure about that!!
Further, why should Everton spend money they supposedly don't have on swapping a manager who guided this toothless group out of relegation last year for another manager like Dyche who ultimately did not keep a toothless group out of relegation? If money is available, for chrissakes spend it on players who can score or can create scoring opportunities.

I dont think there is any manager keeps us up without a game changing signing in attack. Thats the crux of the issue.
