Pretty sure I moaned all summer that our recruitment was wrong and we needed goalscorers to the point where other posters were telling me to basically shut it!

Actually think you're right. There was someone else with a similar name moaning at me for being a miserable arse when the window shut.

Excluding Calvert-Lewin, The fact we've not got the players with any record of goals/assists ever in their game dictated relegation scrap.

Another more experienced, savvy and pragmatic manager improve our odds to stay up IMO. The biggest factor would be some signings...

Change him for who though? The board wanted Pereira last season and it took a fan revolt to stop it. We do the same again and they would say "but you wanted lampard and now you want rid". The board are the problem, which is why ancelotti struggled, Silva struggled, benitez struggled. When you've had 8 different managers and no change in outcome, the problem lies elsewhere i.e. the way the club is being run.

You can't be seriously wanting to keep this useless manager?

He was just about speaking and not letting his voice crack.

Despite everything this club is massive with massive responsibilities to a fanatical fanbase. He's finding it nigh on impossible to shoulder that burden now...which is why this club's board are beyond contempt. They've deserted that man.
if honest I think he has been left very short by a board that just keeps making mistakes over and over
But
He just hasn’t helped himself, and makes mistakes over and over

We are a basket case of a club

Where has he succeeded elsewhere that you're saying his ability is being hampered?

He got Chelsea to the CL and brought through a clutch of youngsters in their first team now when the transfer ban was on them.

He did ok at Derby.

He kept us up last season...as much as he made hard worlk of it at the time.

It's way too harsh on Lampard to not state that this season he was handed a poison challice after the board sold Richarlison on him.

We are a very hard sell right now for a full time striker. We are a complete shambles and everyopne knows it. If you were a pro footballer who had no affiliation to us would you come here right now?

This exact logic also applies to managers.

Good managers would want cash in January to give them a fighting chance of staying up.

The managers we could attract are the ones who are desperate or who see this iteration of Everton as a step up.

Neither of those appeal. Better the devil you know (unless he fluffs it against Southampton).

I still think tonight is FL's last game in charge.

Despite the obvious effort put in we'll be there again with Frank's team in the PL when they just hand the opposition too much space.

He's gone in the next few days would be my guess.
I don't want to see him sacked but I tend to agree with you that that was probably his last game.
His body language after the game was that of a man who already knows he is gone, add to that the pressure being put on the board and Moshiri they know they have to do something and they will opt for saving there own skins.
Whatever happens new manager or not the charletons running the club have to be hounded out.

I agree.

He has to go, but no one can say he hasn;'t been hugley undermined.

If had the cash Silva or Koeman had we wouldn't be sacking him now, that's for sure.
