2022/23 Frank Lampard

I think that would be an equally big gamble. His last season with Burnley was grim and all the stuff he gets credit for completely deserted him.
Look at his squad , it was made up of players , who were in last chance saloon.
Likes of lennon. Think they had half a team ,with no contacts at the end of the season.

It's amusing posters on here saying Frank needs to stick with that 5atb given he already had seen the better performance against City and reverted to his poor 4-3-3 again in our very next game. He doesn't have a clue.

I think Dyche.

It's time.

I'm not saying he's a great manager, but I'm not hearing anyone suggest a serious replacement who would do better.
I don`t think anyone could give you a name you accept due to the high regard you hold Frank in.... hence the no one could do a better job narrative.

My list would go :-

Tuchel
Mancini
Gallardo
Postecoglou
Marco Rose
Thomas Frank
Rodgers
Vieira
Dyche

Some won`t be achievable but start with the best and work your way down the list....

I mean he hasn’t lost the crowd or the players and that’s to his credit. Unfortunately I just have no faith in his ability to get the results we need, and that’s what matters in the end.

I'm amazed he hasnt lost the dressing room too.

The decision to go back to a 433 midweek was insanity. The issue I have, is I've lost a lot of trust in him. Not that it matters, but I cant give him a whole load of credit. Tonight and City away are bonus games, we have to get results against the likes of Southampton.

If we go 532 for the remainder of the season, we may stay up. It wont be pretty, but we have a chance. If we try to play what I can only presume is his way, we will finish 20th. It worries me, nearly a year in he cant see that.

He seems a nice fella though, and honestly hes not thrown the players under the bus, so they probably appreciate that. But I can see him doing something ridiculous come Saturday and us losing.

I cannot believe there are people wanting him to stay.

Like utterly gobsmacked.
Same here mate. It was predicted it would happen before the game even started. One sniff of a decent performance no matter what the scoreline is all it takes for some. Reality is we have lost again and he should have been gone last October, never mind now.

Dyche would be a decent choice for now but not really a long term option - also, and I might be being petty here, but does the fact that he is a red not give a little bit of worry? Know it hasn’t mattered with coady but Rafael was a disaster.

There’s not many other realistic names out there at the moment mind.

The thing about Dyche is that Burnley had to pull the plug on him with 8 games to go last season because he had them in the Championship well before the final game of the season.

Yes but Dyche did that for a very long time.

Lampard never has.
I agree with you on Lanpard's record, but I am sure that this time next season we would be having the same conversation with polls on who should replace dyche. That is no way to exist. I'd rather back the manager and try to fix the board. It might not work but long term, is the only viable solution for Everton to be competitive again.
