2022/23 Frank Lampard

Why? His win % is the 3rd lowest in the history of the club. We’re getting relegated if he remains in charge.

Cut the sentimentality crap cause he’s a nice guy. We need a proper manager and need one in the door ASAP to prepare for Southampton.
No sentimental crap because he's a nice guy here. If another manager fits the bill name him. Or cut the lampard out "crap".
There's blame here but it's not on Lampard.

I don`t think anyone could give you a name you accept due to the high regard you hold Frank in.... hence the no one could do a better job narrative.

My list would go :-

Tuchel
Mancini
Gallardo
Postecoglou
Marco Rose
Thomas Frank
Rodgers
Vieira
Dyche

Some won`t be achievable but start with the best and work your way down the list....
Postecoglu is a realistic target. The others just aren't. It's not that I hold lampard to a high standard, it just that I don't think the other names are assured to turn things around.

He got Chelsea to the CL and brought through a clutch of youngsters in their first team now when the transfer ban was on them.

He did ok at Derby.

He kept us up last season...as much as he made hard worlk of it at the time.

It's way too harsh on Lampard to not state that this season he was handed a poison challice after the board sold Richarlison on him.
Richarlison was always off, that kind of player doesn't stay at a club who are happy to survive each year, which is what we're becoming under Lampard.

Change the manager, short term bounce potentially, but the squad remains the same and simply are not good enough. There is no quick fix

I'm amazed he hasnt lost the dressing room too.

The decision to go back to a 433 midweek was insanity. The issue I have, is I've lost a lot of trust in him. Not that it matters, but I cant give him a whole load of credit. Tonight and City away are bonus games, we have to get results against the likes of Southampton.

If we go 532 for the remainder of the season, we may stay up. It wont be pretty, but we have a chance. If we try to play what I can only presume is his way, we will finish 20th. It worries me, nearly a year in he cant see that.

He seems a nice fella though, and honestly hes not thrown the players under the bus, so they probably appreciate that. But I can see him doing something ridiculous come Saturday and us losing.
We hear a lot of "he hasn't lost the dressing room" and "he hasn't lost the crowd." Great! But until we hear plenty of "he hasn't lost in six" then it's all flannel.

I agree with you on Lanpard's record, but I am sure that this time next season we would be having the same conversation with polls on who should replace dyche. That is no way to exist. I'd rather back the manager and try to fix the board. It might not work but long term, is the only viable solution for Everton to be competitive again.

Sounds good that mate but falls apart when it comes to relegation.

What did I reply to

Where he said Everton were successful in the 80s. Kenwright joined the board in 89. We have been unsuccessful since.

None of that is ridiculous, it's just outlining history.

If I was building a counter argument to that point, I wouldnt content it was ridiculous. Everything he said is true.

I’d get rid of him, his results have been awful and I don’t think he has enough about him. I do think even someone like Dyche would have more chance to get us to safety - and ultimately that’s all that matters.

However…if the board don’t want to sack him for whatever reason then they have to grow a pair and back him - give him money to spend and a few loans.

We are currently stumbling along neither here nor there… we arguably need a couple of attackers / a midfielder to replace Iwobi (and probably a right back too). Sack him or back him and then sign some players.
