Gray has scored 27 goals in 268 games, he’s 26. He’s utter crap

McNeil never looked handy, in 150 games for Burnley he had 18 assists and 7 goals. That is beyond shocking

Gordon has scored 3 times this season, hardly slotting

Iwobi, 11 goals in 100 games for a free flowing arsenal side

We have replaced genuine quality with championship level quality. Yes, the tactics are atrocious but these players are so poor and gutless it’s beyond recognition.

A good player can get hold of a game and change, or make one pass that takes an entire defence out of action.

Today we’ve seen Gray actually run into defenders, take shots when players were open and Gordon trot around

Just feels like a shell of a club at the moment. Not a single player with even an ounce of fight in them.

Total apathy from the fans today (including me). We can't even be arsed being angry anymore.

This isn't a team from previous managers and them down tooling on them...this is their team.

This is exactly it. The risk with changing managers is you can get better or worse. But when we're the worst team in the league what difference does it make if we get worse?

If we don't change managers now we are effectively telling the players we think that no manager could do any better than Lampard with them, and that may be the case, but it's not a message you can send to the players if you want to try to salvage some morale. They need a reset and if that makes Lampard a scapegoat for the failings of the players so be it.

About me? For hoping for mid-table and to not be in our current position? Getting to mid table is going to be part of the long-term plan anyway? We're not going from bottom to challanging for europe by simply changing manager? We're not going to get any manager capable of that. I don't think it's unreasonable to want a season of nothingness after what we've had to put up with over the past couple years?

Even if our attacking options are limited there are ways you can set up a team to get the best out of limited talent. Lampard hasn't done that since probably the Palace game.

Dyche and Howe avoided relegation for years with worse players. As bad and gutless our players may seem, I don' t think that they just decide not to perform every game. Also, most of them are probably aware of their own capacity, flaws and potential and would expect the manager to play to their strengths which is obviously not the case with Lampard.

It is, but it's not your fault it feels ok to say that...30 years of managed decline will do that to a person.

Yep said that myself today. It sounds mental but I almost wouldn't even have been arsed if we'd have equalised at the end, it's like all genuine emotion has been drained from me.

The lad next to me at the match said the fans are quiet because the players just don't show the fight, and the fans know it, so have almost given up

Of todays starting 11:

Pickford, myko, Godfrey, Coleman, Iwobi, gray and DCL were all signed before Lampard and Thelwell.

On the bench, there was only 2 signings they have made in Maupay and McNeil. Maupay in particular was signed as a back up option.

And Coleman’s been here for what, 8 managers now?
