*Checks date and fixture list.

That time was long before today.
It's well past due. But 18 games to go. 2 points from 14th.

Yes, we're in bad shape but look at where Newcastle were last season at this point or even Burnley who were on about 12 points and the way they fought back and blew it only in the last two games having got 'safe'.

A new manager unifies. That's my view. We need that to face these 18 games.

Even though we’re rubbish I maintain that a different manager would get more out of these players. If we look at yesterday- how did Lampard expect us to score? 2 wingbacks who can’t cross the ball. A midfield 3 who seem to get changed each week in terms of who sits and who plays further forwards. No cohesive passing from midfield to forward players.
Every week we are always susceptible to a counter attack- regardless of the score or stage of the game. Brighton, Wolves and Southampton have all caused chaos on the counter. This is again a lack of organisation in midfield- no one is sitting in and shielding the centre of the pitch. It’s like watching under 11s football when we attack, everyone just running forwards with no real plan or ideas.
Even when we got a flurry of free kicks just inside the Southampton half there was no attempt to play it wide before crossing it in from a better angle, balls were just aimlessly pumped into the box. There’s no plan. That’s on Lampard and his staff. I like him as a person more than recent managers we’ve had but he’s out of his depth.

It is indeed, but that's the dire straights we find ourselves in right now.

He also took Sunderland down with a whimper and had a really bad start at West Ham heading for the sack (or relegation) when Covid struck and the season stopped. Moyes is the kind of manager that needs his own players in. Plus he's 60 soon, he hasn't got the fire in the belly for when he first took on the job last time.

He did do well at West Ham for a couple of years after he stabilised it. He signed Bowen and Soucek in his first transfer window, he's not getting those funds here if he did come.

Absolutely.

The club is rancid right now and a new boss throws a window open.
Dave, can I put it to you this way? If you were a manager who was in any way competent, would you come to this circus and have little or no transfer budget? We are the epitome of a club in crisis, there is no way back for the board or the owner after the events of the past few days and we will just continue to stagnate untill somebody is stupid enough to but Moshiri out.

That's our best, and only hope.

One thing I'd say, is under Unsworth/Koeman we were getting hammered every week. And Allardyce came in and we went on a run. Probably a better team, but also probably a less balanced one.

Theres a much wider level of stuff going on. That cant be forgotten, and why be forgotten I'm sure. I'm less worried about that currently though. I dont think Bill and Denise are going to be able to waltz back in after what's happened.

But ultimately it's our club, not theirs. We will be here when it's tough, and they bottle it in the clubs hour of need. We will be here long after they go. But we have to make sure there is still a club.
Sadly its not. They hold all the levers of power and 90% of the fan base is too apathetic to do anything about it.

If little proof is found of this headlock episode then it will go down as another thing and probably the biggest thing in the list of stuff that has happened under Kenwright. You would have to think that if this the case then it's time up for him and Denise, I don't see how either one could stand there holding a straight face to do with anything club related any longer.

I think the hiring of a new manager has the potential to act as a totem we can all raly around.

We need unity...even if both sides know it's going to be temporary.

The overarching point I'm making is that if you strip all the background noise away and we change the manager - who has failed and will continue to fail - we still have a hell of a chance to get safe.

Based on the players we have, how do YOU expect us to score?

Most thought the Southampton game would be..

If he does go after the WHU game, whoever comes in has a horrible start

Which seems totally unfair
I think Moshiri's comments on TalkSport made that unlikely...but he didn't commit to FL beyond that game on the 21st...and i dont think he said it in a throwaway fashion.

If we win then he'll stay. But another loss next Saturday and Frank wont be making the return journey to the north west, that would be my guess.

Yes agree 100% mate. It's a very serious allegation, and not something that should be lied about.

Glad you've come around ;)

Problem now is all the home "bankers" Dyche could of had, have been lost.
