2022/23 Frank Lampard

I think there are other factors at play.

There may be difficulties in paying off Lampard and his quite large entourage.

Not likely to be money available either.

But I guess the fact we haven't done any business is telling in itself in that they may be reluctant to sanction any spending whilst Lampard is there.

Either way, every minute he's there brings us closer to the drop.
Simple thing if we don't have the money to pay them off is put them all on gardening leave rather than pay them all off. All money available apart from the salaries of new staff is then still available for transfers/loans

him and the board

You had Franks number last October. I argued the toss with you about it, oh we need to give him time, he's such a gentleman etc, we need the stability but you were proven right in the end.
It doesn't matter who is right or wrong he just needs to go and he deserves to be sacked.

I wanted to give him the season and he is a nice fella as everyone says but his mangerial ability is attrocious and there is not a valid reason for him to stay.

Doesn’t matter what you call it, even if it’s gardening leave it’s on full pay and benefits. They have a contract and they are entitled to sufficient compensation if it is terminated.

for people still backing lampard saying he should be given time

yesterday at 1-1 we are the home side, desperate for a win

southampton make a double substitution on 61st minute, they bring on two strikers, adam armstrong and their new signing alcaraz

frank sits there and twiddles his thumb

when your opponent who is away from home and bottom of the league is making more attacking changes to try and win the game before you do then there is something seriously wrong with your management.

You're very gracious to bring this up. All I can say is none of us have the monopoly on foresight when it comes to Everton managers. I have been wrong on managers before - and shockingly so. I welcomed the arrival of Mike Walker with open arms...

One thing I would say is that history shows it is almost impossible for an Everton manager to survive the run of results Frank has endured - unless there are special mitigating circumstances. Moyes had some bad runs but Kenwright was never sacking him for love nor money as he had no funds to offer anybody else. Frank is in place today only because of sanctions and an AWOL board. At this point, I think our problems go way beyond any manager and while I have long felt a change was needed, it looks like it's going to happen - if it does indeed happen at all - far too late to make a tangible difference.

We're being slowly boiled like an oblivious frog.

Everton will be sounding people out before they get rid, the truth is that the other options are so bad they may give him a couple of weeks in the hope someone may come available.

Yes

But we also had no quality on the bench to bring on.

Exactly so pay them monthly like they are at the moment don't pay them out their full contract value in advance is what I'm saying. If they want to work elsewhere let them resign without the pay off.
