I was 50/50. What i did buy into was a manager building here

To be honest what i didnt see was best player sold. the team starting the season without a striker to even play the opening game. A "striker" who isnt really a striker and didnt play as one at the club he did ok for, being bought.

More fool me. As an Evertonian i really should know better.

I am repeating myself on this thread, but in the vein of those two hires and a La Liga correlation, Pepe Bordalas I'd maybe argue would be a better fit for us and our resources then Emery or Lopetegui. Similarly he is available currently. He'd be a hire I would welcome.

Our board won't have heard of him lad.

We've never hired a manager who hasn't previously managed a team in the UK.

A bit of a myth has developed around this. When Benitez was sacked, Lampard wasn’t the popular choice of Everton fans. When it became clear that the board had narrowed it down to a choice between Lampard- who came across as fairly articulate and sane, or Pereira, who went on Sky Sports News and gave an interview that made it seem like he wasn’t a particularly stable individual, the fans backed Lampard. It’s clear to everyone bar the Everton board that Lampard is not up to the job. They are once again just delaying the inevitable and with every passing week reducing our chance of survival.

I’ve never heard of him, but was reading a tweet earlier saying he’d be a decent shout.

The scary thing is, last season the players had stopped playing for Benitez.

I actually think they’re are still trying for Lampard - they’re just not very good.

That's weird, did Reina (the ex-liverpool goalie) go sometimes by Jose and sometimes by Pepe... Is that a common thing? Like John-Paul or something
