Lampard needs to be supported by this disgrace of a board and owner by actually giving him the tools for the job.

We could give Guardiola the job and he’d struggle with what Lampard has to work with.

Lampard might not be the long term answer, but the reason we are in this mess is because the board have made bad choice after bad choice.

A managerial change is not the answer

Get some forwards in who can actually pass a ball and out their foot through a shot. Nothing wrong with the tactical set up at the weekend whatsoever. We limited them to speculative shots from distance, and we made multiple chances. Job done from the formation and tactical perspective.

What Lampard can’t account for is stupid shoddy sloppy half arsed forward play from Gordon Gray McNeill Davies. That’s two games in a row McNeil has botched simple through balls to play a teammate in. He never looked that hesitant banging them in against us every game. The biggest shock of Gray scoring was that he hadn’t yahood it over the bar like he did every other chance. Gordon just can’t strike a ball hard enough. Davies is an utter clown who looked like a competition winner out there.

Put Havertz Mount Sterling there or Kane Son Kulisevski and we’re probably 7 points out of 9 at least.

We have to move away from just blasting the manager all the time. He hasn’t got suitable tools for the job. Once again Davies is starting games. There was one attacking player on the bench in McNeill (if we accept Dele was never coming on). It’s just not good enough.

You’re right, a change is not the answer. But all this Frank has done everything right and everything is the players fault is always the players fault is just laughable.

He’s the least of problems at the club and he needs backing but he seems to be immune from any sort of criticism.

Usual excuses of everything is Keane’s, Gomez’s and Gbamin fault is now Davies, Mcneil’s and Gordon’s fault.

They're mediocre players alright but I can't remember them being this bad.

It's obvious Lampard needs to be given as much time as reasonably possible to build the team. Having said that, I don't think anyone can be totally convinced he's the one who's going to turn us around. This season he benefits from the expectations being so low that anything other than a relegation dogfight will be seen as success.

He has.

Iwobi in his best form under Lampard
Gordon in his best form under Lampard
Pickford in his top form under Lampard
Patterson and Mykolenko have developed to be PL level under him.

A manager can do so much but sometimes it is down to the player. Lampard is not training Gordon to mishit every shot he takes, he doesn’t train Gray to lash it over the bar, he doesn’t train McNeill to under or over hit every through ball.

Not pick them? He doesn’t have any other options at the moment. He dropped McNeill yesterday and his replacement is Rondon. Gordon and Gray have no competition. He doesn’t have any options at the moment up top that are good enough.

Our fans said this for both Martinez and Silva - the writing is slowly on the wall you feel.

I agree Lampard needs more time but he has to improve massively otherwise the DOF will have his heed on the chopping block and rightfully so.

In hindsight the club panicked with Fronk they should have appointed an interim until the seasons end then let Thelwell pick the appointment.

That lad with the spray can has a lot to answer for.

What a horrible set of fans we’ve become, not all I agree but the boo boys are terrible. Who’d want to play for us ffs, no wonder some players have no confidence, miss a pass or give the ball away and straight away they turn on you, we should be encouraging players not calling for their heads each time a mistake is made.
We do deserve everything we get
