Nuno would honestly be worse than Dyche

I don’t want Dyche short term and certainly not long term but he’d probably keep us up whereas Nuno has a weird way of playing which he doesn’t seem to budge on and we don’t have time to mess around learning anything other than the basics again right now to get out of this relegation battle
Neither would keep us up imo. Both would be disasters for the long-term good of the club.

However, even though I have made my thoughts about Dyche known on here, even I think Nuno would be worse. Literally cannot be bothered watching another lazy side that don't press or commit.

There's all those stories about him at Wolves with signs everywhere that say "Nuno's way, not your way!"

He wasn’t Benitez. That’s pretty much all the steadying which was required.

He’s worse than Benitez, for the record. But Benitez was just the final nail in the coffin for me with the board.
I’m at the point where they could hire anyone now and nothing will ever get as low as it’s been when he was in charge, even Allardyce who got me to the point of not even watching the games.

This board/owner has wrecked this club and every time you think they can’t take it lower, the trump themselves. Not sure where they can take us now that would be worse than what already come before.

Gerrard?

After seeing that video before the West Ham game it’s almost like he knew anyway.

Why they drag these things out I have no idea. Everyone was in London, call him in after a game and say thanks for everything but sorry it’s not going the way it should;

Even if we have let you down on the recruitment because we couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery

I am all for stability - but only when you appoint the best man for the job - or at least somebody with a proven record you can fall back on when you need to justify persevering with him when times, inevitably, get tough.

What amazed me was how fundamentalist many were about Lampard. He had no record to speak of. It was no suprise people lost confidence - if they ever had it to start with - that he was worth holding on to when results dived off a cliff. At times, on here, it was like eavesdropping on the Frank Lampard Job Preservation Society.

In the end, the club needs to sort out its recruitment: and that starts with managers.

Pretty much.

I think people look to the amount of managers we’ve actually sacked and where stability comes into it.

The reality is, the appointments are just wrong to begin with. Koeman, Allardyce, Benitez all the wrong fit and it was only going to go one way. Lampard is in this mould.

There’s no harm in admitting a mistake, just finally make the right decision. I think the reason Lampard was much wanted is because we had some lunatic on live television saying how much he’d love the job, having only been interviewed because Kenwright loved him in 2013, and doing nothing credible in 9 years in between.

Gerrard?

It sadly needs ripping down and starting again with a manager with a vision, but it needs time, and stability, sadly neither of the two we have.

But do I trust the board to appoint the right man? Absolutely not. Outside of Ancelotti and Silva every appointment since has been rancid, even Silva went bad, but was the right idea.

The board got us here with rash appointments, sackings and investments. We’re going to get worse before it gets better sadly!

There will be no stability under this board because there are no foundations for a manager to succeed. There is no clear recruitment plan, there is no budget available anymore, there is a very bad mix of indecision and buck passing, and we are going from crisis to crisis under their leadership.

We like him or not, DOF should be choosing the manager. The board shouldn’t have any say on football maters.

Can’t disagree mate. We’re totally screwed now.

I’m just trying to cling to any crumb of hope, which as it stands is decreasing every day.

My worry now is, can we get straight back promoted? How we’ve fallen.
