2022/23 Frank Lampard

Lots of comments about the formation being crap unnediately after a win and clean sheet where we were comfortable all game.

Which midfielders would you like him to play? And which striker would you like him to play (as the one available can't hold it up, can't make runs and can't score).

The formation isn't the issue, we are creating loads of chances and looking pretty good at the back. The issue is a lack of quality up top.

I don’t get these kind of posts. We don’t owe Lampard anything. It’s not like Carlo which was quite the coup. This is a young manager who has proved nothing in the game.

I swear some of our fans treat Frank like he’s Pep Guardiola and that we should be lucky he has graced us with his presence.

The lad has it all to prove and some of us aren’t convinced at all.
Yet another nonsense post by you. Its almost like you didn't watch us last season when he kept us up. He deserves time and patience for that alone. (And deserves to be backed with a striker)

I’m pretty sure it was about this time two weeks ago that Fronk said we would be much stronger in two weeks.

Not sure I can see that tbh

Fleetwood had more shots on target than us

They are in league one

They are not even a good league one side

If you think 5 at the back is the answer and we should be patient and the only thing lacking is a striker then you are in for a long season of disappointment

And how worried were you that they were going to score any of these shots on target? As far as I can recall, begovic was pretty comfortable last night and not really tested.

We tested their keeper a couple of times, and as said above, if we actually had better finishers, we would have been home and dry. Same as in previous games.

We had two shots on target and one was a goal which we only scored because of a mistake made by the Fleetwood player giving the ball away. That means their keeper only made 1 save in 90 + minutes.

I wasn’t that concerned about Fleetwood scoring because we were playing 5 at the back against a poor league 1 side.

Rondon had like 3 great chances and put them wide or screwed it up. Their keeper would be tested if we had a front line that could finish. Until that changes, then going more expansive is pointless and puts us at risk.
