Graham Potter has had time at Brighton. His football didn’t look like it does now after half a season. He had massive losing streaks, at one time it was all about how his team couldn’t score etc. he had time to build though.
When will the penny drop for some of you
You saying we should have give Benitez more time?
We stayed up with one game to spare. Throwing away a lead at Burnley. Loss at home to Brentford. It was awful and could've been secured a lot sooner.Yet another nonsense post by you. Its almost like you didn't watch us last season when he kept us up. He deserves time and patience for that alone. (And deserves to be backed with a striker)
Benitez was such an awful appointment for those reasons of creating the most toxic club in the world. But I believe Lampard was the wrong appointment to make after him, and that is also the fault of hiring Benitez. Moshiri you nugget.I’ve been saying it about every manager since Koeman except Benitez ironically.
He had to go by the end because of results, mood at the club, players downing tools etc. but accepting that is different than blaming him for every problem at the club from day 1 because people didn’t like the fact he used to manage Liverpool. Ignoring the fact we gave him 1.5 mill in transfer money, ignoring the fact he was parachuted in midway through summer with little time to plan, ignoring our ridiculous injury record (which still hampers us now), ignoring our wretched squad (which Lampard had taken no time in completely gutting). All those things were infantile by a lot of people but by the end the best option for all concerned was that he had to go and Everton were back at day 1 of a managerial rebuild.
Let’s not re-set the clock yet again just because we’re not yet the finished article under Lampard.
Ah no it's not since the cup win. It's just been an ongoing debate. Why are we now suddenly on about getting rid of lampard after a cup win?

And then some people just didn't rate him to begin with.Because my predictions about the impatience of elements of the fan base calling for Graham Potter after we’ve not won a few games this season has come true
When he took over he inherited a squad that because of Benitez was completely shell shocked and devoid of any confidence, players were just wilting and scared to even walk onto a football pitch. If anyone can listen to that and then say that he’s a manager who won’t ever consider changing up formations if needed then they’ve not heard it.
Pragmatism, compromise, flexible, problem solver. Exactly what Everton need.
Forget Demarai GrayI’ve been saying it about every manager since Koeman except Benitez ironically.

You can give a manager 10 years - if he’s not up to it, he’s not up to it.Graham Potter has had time at Brighton. His football didn’t look like it does now after half a season. He had massive losing streaks, at one time it was all about how his team couldn’t score etc. he had time to build though.
