You can give a manager 10 years - if he’s not up to it, he’s not up to it.

Lampard is overrated because he’s English and was one of the best midfielders in Europe. Same with Gerrard. Both aren’t good to manage big Premier League clubs.

Frank does need until Xmas because we can judge our league position by then. Plus he earned that by taking over from the waiter and giving us hope.

But the jury on Lampard as a manager is out for now.

Hero calling about the worst board in the world

People saying this but dont know whether powers that be are Everton, or Premier League;

Question: The fact that the window is still open like this and you're still looking to do deals, how does it impact you day-to-day because obviously you've got to think about and concentrate on preperations for the games"

Lampard: "It is what it is. This job is consuming in many ways, we're very fortunate to have these jobs and I'm very fortunate to do what I do. You strive every day to improve the club and the team and while the window is open, it's part of your job. I hope the powers that be understand this isn't the perfect way to do it. It's far too long into the season. There's no doubt. We want to look into the season with an idea about fairness, well fairness isnt the right word but balance to the season that teams can construct a squad that can go from the start of the season to the end of the season and now we're going to be, by the time the window shuts, we're nigh on 6 games in. It's a lot of games, for me it doesn't feel right. I hope they get that right next time"
