5 at the back when defending is not a problem. The problem is that both Patterson and Myko lack cutting edge when “attacking”. They create nothing in the side area.

Even the Portuguese lb offers more when going forward than Myko. When Gana rejoins I except Iwobi will move to rwb. Onana and Gana in the middle.

It's all about context, which people are easy to omit, either accidentally or by choice.

Dyche did a superb job at Burnley against the remit he was given and the budget provided: to keep the club in the Prem for as long as possible. It may not have been Barca football but he did this successfully for a number of years, massively overachieving in one year.

Unless we are looking for solid, functional Big Sam-esque football he is not the right choice for us; but that doesn't make him a bad manager at what he was asked to do at the club he was at. He wont be short of offers when clubs in the bottom 6 start panicking around xmas.
