I won’t post the link to the various articles because I’ve already received a warning today for going off-topic and this is a football related thread to discuss Frank’s pedigree as a manager.

No, I think you'll be fine, it is the Frank Lampard thread. I mean, calling him a trump loving tory hasn't got you an off topic warning, right? Because it clearly underpins his managerial capabilities! Its information we all need to assess.

Ok. Most people, normal people with values - when asked what they think of Trump, unless they are a redneck, gun obsessed racist - will tell you that Donald is a bad person.

Not our Frank (also states that’s he’s a Tory in the article)

You deserve the off topic just for falling for this.

Frank’s political leanings don’t belong in this thread.

edit: also stop setting people up.

So your happy to reference the Brentford opportunities yet not reference ours. OK mate.
Good one.
Maybe read it in context mate? I’ve got no interest in trying to make things sound bad, I was just saying that I don’t really see the issue in acknowledging that we had a fair bit of luck today. As I said, that’s what happens in football and there’ll no doubt be games this season when the reverse happens, it’s not a criticism, just a fact.

Because I have values. Yes, Frank is a nice person, I wish him well.

But it doesn’t sit right with me that a Tory manages our club. Sorry but as a socialist , I can’t warm to him.

It’s not personal. Frank is alright. But as a manager he’s not up to it and his off field political views don’t align with our fanbase.

So let me get this straight.
You want
Socialist
World-class manager
Someone who gets the club

I’m not being funny. That’s delusional.

Let me know if you find something that shows Howard Kendall or Harry Catterick were Labour supporters.

Well I'm not sure it can be looked at so reductively mate. 6 points kept us up, wherever they were from.

The start helped, but it kind of illustrates how far the wheels had fallen off. Lampard did an excellent job to improve the PPG we had, and dramatically improve it in the 1 win in 14 games before. It was this more than anything else that kept us up, after Benitez was found wanting.

Benitez took over from a team that had got 59 points, and had all summer to rebuild. He messed it up.
Our goal difference was inferior to Burnley's so it was 4 points that kept us up. Over the last 38 games we have achieved 33 points.

Lampard took over Derby when they were in 6th place and maintained 6th place. He took over Chelsea when they were in 4th place and they finished 4th. We were in 15th place and six points off the drop zone when Lampard arrived and finished 16th 4 points above the drop zone.

At the end of this match week we could be in 19th place.

He has done very little to turn around our fortunes and we have some tricky fixtures coming up. The biggest worry for me is that the three teams currently below us are teams that you would expect to finish in the top half.

people have told you the valid points why we he needs time

give him it or don’t bother

Off topic so I’ll take the warning, but if you think that any politician in a senior role is a good person then you’re being naive (at best).

Yeh Frank didn't align at all with our fans since being appointed has he.

That's why his name is sung every game and a massive motif has been done for him.
