The excuses for this useless manager are laughable. We had Richi last season and we still looked awful so this striker excuse is boring.
We were totally out played by Brentford, who should have been out of sight.
He has made 2 competent centre backs look like amateur in space of 3 or 4 games.
We are out gunned every week in midfield yet we persist playing just 2 in there

3 injured centre backs
No options in Midfield
No options up top

Who would you have played mert ?

Our goal difference was inferior to Burnley's so it was 4 points that kept us up. Over the last 38 games we have achieved 33 points.

Lampard took over Derby when they were in 6th place and maintained 6th place. He took over Chelsea when they were in 4th place and they finished 4th. We were in 15th place and six points off the drop zone when Lampard arrived and finished 16th 4 points above the drop zone.

At the end of this match week we could be in 19th place.

He has done very little to turn around our fortunes and we have some tricky fixtures coming up. The biggest worry for me is that the three teams currently below us are teams that you would expect to finish in the top half.
Have you actually watched any of the games? It’s been fine margins

Chelsea - a penalty given in the aftermath of a free kick that shouldn’t have been given

Villa - Goal ruled out for a very narrow offside by VAR which could have changed the game

Forest - a switch off in defence

Brentford - a switch off in defence after weathering a storm when ahead

We’ve shown signs in every game that, had we had a striker in, we’d have picked up more than 2 points by now. When it all clicks we’ll get results, maybe as soon as Tuesday with Maupay added to the attack

Yes fair point. It's more just a bit reductive to pick out which points that keep us up, that's all. I'd also say, after that 4 games, we were a poor team. We did better under Lampard. We are now a poor team, who's lost it's best player. So some realism is needed for me.

As for this season, I'm not sure we can generalise too much after 4 games, where we havent got a striker. There probably needs to be a point whereby the manager is judged, but do think he deserves the right to be judged once we get a striker in.

We have already had tricky fixtures really. Chelsea played already. It's funny, last season our points v top 6 v none top 6/7 sides were almost identical. So fixtures are less of a worry than performance.

As for stuff around Derby/Chelsea, not sure the point or relevance to be honest. He stabilised both. Seemed to have money at Derby but not at Chelsea. He did ok.

Hes judged on what he does here though. He completed his mission last season, and honestly 4 games into this just feels far too soon.

Loads of people will swing on the next 3 games. No win after that and plenty who are screaming patience now will hit the panic button. Probably rightfully so tbh. You go that long without a win you know you're in trouble.

Absolutely mate. No being funny but Lampard didn’t keep us up, the fans kept us up. We’ve been utterly crap bar Brentford and Leeds last year under him.

I want it badly to work but we’re sleepwalking to another relegation battle.

If he was so useless, why did he do better than Benitez, with no pre season, to keep us up when we looked destined to go down?

It's also not really an excuse to say we dont have an attacker.

Constantly changing the manager is not going to turn around results.

What did you expect this season with the squad we have had available and the complete lack of any sort of useful centre forward?

We're heading to a relegation battle but its got nothing to do with the manager and everything to do with 5 years of chronic mismanagement.
