2022/23 Frank Lampard

It’s easy to underestimate the negative impact to mentality and confidence on the pitch when there is no centre forward playing. The team resilience and positively is low if we think we cannot score.

You dont have seen the game. They hit the post 3 times and should have scored 5 goals (only scoring the easy ones) Evertons defense was all over the place. No ball control no stamina and only the decent first 15 minutes gave some hope.
I watched the entire game, from start to finish. I'm sound

What about the chances we had, do they not count??

Lets sack him then, and replace with??? - come and don't be shy who shall we get in?

People saying that Lampard hasn't improved anything must have forgotten or mentally blocked out how awful we were at the end of the Benitez era. It was the most depressing time to be an Everton fan that I can remember in my many years. We were in absolute freefall and had resigned ourselves to relegation. Frank keeping us up was a huge task, and he has earned the right to be given a full season at least.

Getting rid of him will not help things in any way, it will just mean another manager with different ideas who wants to bring in their own players and do things their way, further exacerbating our lack of cohesion and mish-mash of players that don't fit together in a system.

I would rather stick with Lampard, give him the full season (even if it is a relegation scrap) and really allow him to try and build something.

Mentions the 3 times they hit the woodwork.

1 was a miss hit potshot from the edge of the box and the other was a bicycle kick.

Brentford had plenty of chances, but we created the 2 most clear cut chances of the game with 2 genuine 1v1's.

Agenda gonna agenda I suppose.

Were still playing as bad football it's just were now OK with it and players seem OK with it too.

Fair play to the brave switch to 4 at the back today.

Extra legs in midfield - may help us control the game and have more support going forward.
