How many managers have we forced out so far and why do we think changing the manager makes any difference
It depends on circumstances. Jarg teams figured out by November of last season that all they had to do was stay disciplined, be patient and wait for our defense to self-immolate. It's probably not a coincidence that the only points we took from October until mid-January came off the Sky 6, who are out to force the three points every time out against lesser resistance. We could score on sides that opened up, but not ones that sat back, because all we did well was counter-attack.

If the manager has lost the dressing room, it's time. If the manager and the rest of club staff can't work together without the risk of a fistfight breaking out, someone has to go. If the club is on its way to being buried so deep that a new manager bounce won't get the side out of the relegation zone, or achieve the club's other objectives, it's probably time.

Otherwise, the manager is generally best left alone. There are exceptions - Abramovich fluked into one European Cup and made a smart change to get his second - but if the plan is moving forward then switching managers usually isn't a good idea.

Martinez coming back will completely destroy whatever little work ethics we have, final straw in many ways. My biggest nightmare.

For this reason alone I’m 100% behind Lampard.
Where do you see a work ethic. Nobody on the pitch has a clue what to do. No tatics = no wins. Lampard wont be here in a month or 2. Perhaps Gerard goes even sooner.

Townsend can point him in the right direction
Fair play that is some fantastic results
Conte has also had incredible results, maybe he can give him a bell as well.

Anyone calling for Franks head, or giving him achieve this or he should go ultimatums, needs in the same post to name a preferred alternative.

We should go for this or that doesn't cut it. Give a name or pipe down.
If you look through the forums, people have given names. I'm asked the same question over and over again when I have given alternatives. Go look it up.

I don’t agree with this.

I think people do know what to do. There’s certainly a plan. I just don’t think it’s a very good plan or that we have very good players to enact it.

I think he’s got a plan here and trying to execute it is identifying positions we need replacements in and if Gordon does stay I believe that’s also down to frank not wanting him to go which shows backing from the board so they are fully behind him. He’s done a reasonable job so far with some restrictions but saying that we do need to start getting results in the league especially against teams who could be down the bottom of the table with us. As mentioned no great queue of manager lining up to take what probably looks like a huge task, looking in yes premier league club with history but think the risk is as big as the reward and we need to try and find some stability in this manager merry go round.
