Divided the fans, binned off two of the best players in the team and produced some of the worst results I've ever seen from any manager.

Even Norwich and Watford (FIVE TWO AT HOME) beat us and they finished bottom two.

Alladyce got 8th with the scraps left over from Koeman and Walshs disaster splurge - no one has bettered him since. Silva got 8th the season following but needed Richarlison, Digne, Zouma, Mina, a purple patch Gomes and £100 million budget to do it.

We'll never know where Benitez would have finished likewise Lampard hasn't had a full season to judge a finishing position on either but Benitez had us in the top 6 at one stage with a £1.7 million budget before losing abar 10 players to injury.

Lampard has sniffed 12th for a week or two before having us hurdle back to 16th despite spending £65 million in the summer.

Take your personal feelings towards each manager away and the above is true.

Big Sam should feel hard done by at this club, he did above and beyond and was sacked soley due to his name.

We were 14th and 6 points off 7th when he took over. He then proceeded to buy Cenk Tosun and Theo Walcott for £40m

Any half decent manager would have achieved what he did and wouldn't have lumbered us with them 2 draining wages for 4 years
