From best to worst in terms of performances in relation to investment spent. Koeman just shading Silva based on that 7th placed finish and thumping Man City 4-0.

Alladyce got 8th with the scraps left over from Koeman and Walshs disaster splurge - no one has bettered him since. Silva got 8th the season following but needed Richarlison, Digne, Zouma, Mina, a purple patch Gomes and £100 million budget to do it.

We'll never know where Benitez would have finished likewise Lampard hasn't had a full season to judge a finishing position on either but Benitez had us in the top 6 at one stage with a £1.7 million budget before losing abar 10 players to injury.

Lampard has sniffed 12th for a week or two before having us hurdle back to 16th despite spending £65 million in the summer.

Take your personal feelings towards each manager away and the above is true.

Benitez would have took us down. That’s not even debatable. The gaf stunk

This is obviously false. Was hardly going to turn it around was he, given he retired from managing about 10 years prior.

We'll never know mate. Plenty of seasons under Moyes we were awful first half of the season then went on some mad form towards the season end, I believe we did similiar in Silva's first season when we won the last few games including a 4-0 over Utd jumping up the table into 8th.

I can only deal in the facts the rest is just opinion based.
