Yes I think he will turn it around, likewise I think he would lead us on a bit if we put feelers out. At the same time I think that soft spot he has is still there.

I think Ancelotti would still be here if it wasn't for Moshiri.

Surely Ancelloti was only here because of Moshiri, no? It was Moshiri who was happy to pay him the £12m salary, agreed to hire his son, agreed to a Madrid exit clause, agreed to sign the likes of James and Allan for him etc. For all Moshiri's many, many failings I'm not sure what more he could have done to get and keep Carlo here tbf.

Frank is going nowhere as we have a WC break starting at the weekend. He will be here when we come back and probably gets the first 3 games to change the trajectory. He should be plotting to get some reinforcements in January to save his bacon. I am struggling to understand how he continues to make naive decisions with the backroom team he has and all their experience.

He must be ignoring advice. Paul Clement would surely do a better job by himself.

The problem is that it was only at the start of the Leicester game that the gwladys street unfurled a massive banner of Lampard. Now two games later he should be on thin ice? We just can’t operate in this knee jerk manner.

My view is that the board just want PL football until the stadium is built. The ambition for Europe and trophies is over for now. You can see it in the signings, it was a squad built for staying in the league. Coady Tarkowski Gueye Garner McNeill Maupay. All premier league proven cheap players.

If we at any point look likely to go down they’ll pull the trigger, if we don’t though Lampard will carry on. It might not be what the fans want but sadly it’s the current ambition of the board, bottom half is good enough for them. They’ve buried themselves in a financial hole and now they just want PL stability whilst the losses move off the accounts.
Spot on! FL has largely the same remit as Benitez: stay in the Prem, improve wherever possible without over spending. When you view things through the lense of the club, things are much clearer about expectations and the bottom line. Keep any real threat of relegation away; beyond that, 8th or 16th come May doesn't make major difference.

Few really want to say sack him for fear of joining the likes of Watford and others with regular manager turn over and all the turmoil that brings. Few really want him to stay because he is showing strong indications that he is not competent enough to turn this club around from a disastrous situation he willingly inherited. I vote to retain him, allow him to spend on priorities and if we survive decide next May whether or not to attract a so-called top manager.

To me, that team that was selected last night was a Shop Window for them to show perspective new employers what they could do. I also though Garner did very well first half and is showing he should be an astute purchase going forward. Davies though was atrocious. As was Keane. As was Holgate. In fact you could pin that description to most of the starting 11.

Hopefully the stats look better than what my eyes witnessed.

As for Frank, he will continue to have my support while he continues to tell it 'like it is'. He needs another window to get some creativity and possibly a goalscorer not made of glass.
