If you have pitchforks out for him now, one win shouldn't put them away. Choose a lane.
Nah, that’s exactly where problems come in. People make it a binary issue and decide to be on one side or the other and then won’t change their mind no matter what happens. The sensible thing to do is to change your opinion based on what’s happening. At the moment I don’t think we should sack lampard, if we lose on Saturday I’ll be pushed closer to thinking we should. If we lose 5-0 I’ll probably think we should. It seems pretty obvious to me to be honest.

I'd agree, to a degree, but if people really want him out after last night they shouldn't go full circle if we win Saturday. That is the very definition of over-reacting.

Ive seen Lampard and his acolytes bemoan the "bias media" always questioning him but the facts are if he was doing a good or even just steady job the media wouldn't have the ammunition they do.
The media are beyond poision. Agenda/Narrative first, anything remotely factual/accurate a distant second - that's how it works, from radio "shockjocks" to clickbait article writers to podcast soundbite-seekers. Shyte-on-your-shoe poison, the lot of them.

The knives will be out for FL because sackings make better stories than stability, and they love the EFC merrygoround. They worshipped "Rafael the great" so nothing was ever his fault and ran cover for him at every opportunity. Kenwright is their ideal chairman because he's an old man who loves his club, they don't care to see anything beyond that. Slippy just 'is' the next RS manager because the narrative and imagery makes them cream their knickers, results irrelevant. They adored Mourinho at one point, then decided to ridicule him and declare him finished at every opportunity because won-nothing Poch and possession stats Pep were their new favourite toys to go full sycophant over. Despicable oxygen theives, each and every one of them.

Yeah that’s fair. Knee jerking after each result is annoying but I think a lot of people are just tipping into the ‘out’ camp after a couple of bad results in the space of a few days but will be placated by a win at the weekend. I can understand that.

Events will shape people's opinion. You don't need to pick a side and stick with it no matter what

The manager made 11 changes last night and got us humiliated. Thats not something I ever thought Lampard would do, and its something I have criticised other managers for before, so I can't give him a pass because I liked him.

Turns out I've probably got it very wrong on lampard, and I'm going to have to reassess my opinions. How can we have faith after yesterday?
Ah, Moyes got us turned over in this cup loads. It's a bad defeat for sure, but I'm more worried about moral in the league game. Maybe he'll be proved right and get a reaction out of the Ferrets.

It's what I'm clinging to anyway.

D'ya reckon Frank would do better if he embraced spiritualism?

Just need @Foreverbuddah92 to hook him up with some joss sticks and mushies.

At least you`ve got the fact that @ForeverBlue92 will soon start tagging you in, as his new wingman, with his anti Lampard posts, to look forward to.

The most vaultable person on GOT after Dave.

"But Benitez is the devil for resting a few due to being hammered by key injuries at present."

Lampard rotated the whole side, changed formation and has abar 3 injuries currently compared to the glut missing last season.

nothing worse than blowing your load to #fakenews.

I think injuries forced his hand with Doucoure and Davies, they aren’t too bad when they come on as subs or when they are with the first team players around them.
Garner is the big disappointment for me, I expected him to be a lot more attacking, he is just another Gomes who plays pointless sideways passes.
Can't help but feel a bit sorry for Jimmy-G tbh. I didn't see all of yesterday's game, but the bits I did see him and Patterson looked like the only players trying to do something or were at least mentally operating at a level above the rest - did he not have a instinctive great left foot shot early in the first half that shaded the bar or something?!?

Even in the games he's come on, it looks like he's *trying* to do something, find a pass and make things happen, but it's just not clicking for him. Young lad, was at Man Utd, wasn't going to get a chance under Ten Hag (who might be gone himself come summer), comes to a struggling EFC, and still doesn't get a start most weeks. Needs to improve sure, but there's a creative player there for me; hence I can imagine his frustration and feel a bit for the lad.
