Not really true, he must do something right to make the stars in a team. You can look at Solskgaer in Man utd. Do you make managing a whole team of stars easily? Yes, Martinez has terrible denfence record and I dont think he improves a lot but please judges him fairly.
During his managing time, he doesnt have that money to replace Distin, Jagelka, Hetinga…He only can choose to promote stones and sign a free transfer Alcarez and about 12m Funes Mori. Does we really give him the money to build up the defense?

Yes, at that time, that was a decent amount of money in football.
You are here advocating for him over lampard with daft claims he couldn't afford defenders. Lampard has signed 2 CBs on a free and a DM on a nominal fee. While he also need to sign a striker and wingers. He hasn't been given anywhere near the money Martinez got and the players we signed we had to sign in complicated deals to pay off over several years.
Martinez wasted money on Niasse and Mori etc

Was looking at his signings, 24 of them. 22 of them were [Poor language removed] awful. Started the malaise if you ask me.
Martinez wouldn't be doing the signings though, same as Lampard didn't do the signings in the summer.

Yeah there's no joined up approach at all and I'm sure Kevin and Frank don't discuss any of it with signings just rocking up at training as a surprise for Frank.

Some of your earlier stuff about Martinez spending 160 million is way off, he never spent close to that.
Also, has quite a few people keep mentioning when defending Lampard, what was the net spend??? We sold the likes of Felli for decent money which paid for his first summer splash.
There was money in football then, but unfortunately Everton were proper paupers then who would take loans out against future tv revenue money with spurious companies based in the Cayman Islands.

One of the many problems with Martinez was his inability to get the players anywhere near fit. He hasn't had to bother with that aspect while with Belgium.
