Its common knowledge we couldn't agree a deal with Burnley over Cornet because of the structuring of the deal/payments.

Regardless of what the reason was for that ultimately the DOF was hamstrung this summer and had to sell our best player just to break even. To demand his heed and use him as a scapegoat when the manager and board are being let off the hook is short sighted imo.

Thats not to say he's completely blameless but "Kopite Kev" is an easy and convenient bullseye.
We couldn’t agree, like West Ham couldn’t initially and Forest couldn’t because Burnley wanted the release clause paid in full to aid the debt they owed for going down

But what if I told you the two other players that cost £35 millions the parent clubs demanded more money upfront thus not being able to be sanctioned meaning currently Rondon and Gordon up top had we not signed Maupay/McNeil.

Its clear we wanted Cornet before McNeil as an example.

Very easy to criticise without any knowledge of what goes on behind the scenes.

Brands and Walsh you can criticise as both spent a combined £400 millions in the space of 4 seasons with no worries, no restrictions, no PL interventions.

But yeah lets hammer the guy tasked with dealing with the aftermath in one summer window...
There are around 600000 clubs that would fall to their knees for 35million spread over 5 years.

I think we all like Lampard because he’s obviously a passionate guy who has realised he can’t pull the wool over Evertonains eyes. However, if the points can’t or won’t come, such as Villa, then the club WILL make a change. The Wolves game at home on Boxing Day is now a MUST WIN, lo and behold, we face them the first time under a new manager. Everton that. But yeah it’s a must win for Frank, no doubt.

Frank has signed Delle, McNeil and Maupay, all three in my opinion have/are terrible signings for Everton. Maybe Delle will return in January and become exactly what we. An attacking midfielder who can place a pass and score a goal. Dwight looks out of his depth and Maupay simply looks disinterested. I expected more of Maupay. He won’t run, he has a poor touch and looks unfit.

Who should we have gone for instead is not my role, however there were surly players out there who would have done a better job for a similar fee. Diaby from Leverkusen, Terrier from Rennes, Dembele from Lyon, I would have taken Laqazette from Arsenal on a free. He would have done a much better job than Maupay, at least he tries.

It’s a massive task now for Frank to keep us in the league. Teams around us now getting points such as Villa and Leicester. The only hope is Southampton still do poor under their new boss, same as Wolves, and Leeds continue to score 3 but concede 4. Who knows about Forest, everyone has them down, but are now climbing quietly.

There's a reason he's in Turkey mate. We haven't got time to polish cast off turds anymore if we really want to get back to competing.
