Fulham v Juve

I totally agree. Despite the fact that it isn't the Champions League, its still a competition with numerous sides of great quality. Odds are, if you're playing in the quarterfinals of this tournament, you beat some good, if not very good teams along the way. I'm very happy for Fulham, who probably are still shell-shocked that they're still playing in this competition. Regardless, it makes me wish that Moyes played a more attacking squad against Sporting a few weeks ago.

There's still quality in the Europa League. Most of the teams will be in the champs league next season so to say its not as tough as the champs league isnt totally true IMO. Its not often a champs league drop out wins the europa league whic says a lot.

And you need european footy. You need to know what its all about before you step up to play better european sides.

We are in no position to turn our nose up at what is essentially the UEFA goblet, cant even make the quarter finals of it.

Moody penalty to Liverpool, 1-0.

Exactly. Makes me laugh with ya Spurs and Villa who see it as a burden just clogging up the fixtures.

They ever get the champions league, just watch them crash and burn in the group stages, if they even get past the qualifying round. Why? Because they've never done anything in europe. If they cant even get to the knock out stages or quarters in an "inferior" cup, why bother thinking they can do anything in a stronger cup?

Apart from CASH!

i saw the game and I felt.." wow! we could have done that a couple of seasons ago against fiorentina"

Hodgson is a top manager, I see alot of similarities in him and moyes. Both stress on hard work, commitment and bring the best out of players. he's not the best tactician but an awesome motivator. Bringing the best out of Duff in his 30's and reigniting Zamora's career is paying off for them.

Well done Fulham.(y) I can't believe that 2 time european champions were playing in this one...so utter poor were Juventus.

I never said Europa isn't as tough as the Champions League. I said that the fact it isn't the Champions League usually turns managers away from the competition. Everything you said above is true, and I never said anything to the contrary.
