We had it by the balls, then let it go, I think we may well have missed the boat on this one. Own goal from us (there you go, it's football relevant again now :) ).

That graph will come down quickly though.
The Tories are bringing in charges for Lateral Flow tests at the end of the month so nobody will get tested any more, therefore no more pesky Covid. And if they do pay for a test and report it, they are downgrading the efficiency of the Serco App so it only asks a small proportion of people to isolate, so the graphs go down again.

This Government should be taken out an shot.

be interesting what happens with away games,i know lads who have already booked trains to leeds on aug 21.
those trans pennine trains are horrendously packed on saturdays going via manchester.
then there is the question of away credits!

Personally, no attendance AT ALL.

Why throw petrol on the fire? It's like saying it's beng more responsible to throw a quarter of the can of petrol over the flames rather than the full can.

Just get these grounds shut and keep them shut until either the infection rate is under control or the vaccine has been administered to almost all the population.
It has been administered to almost all the country and by the time the season kicks off, people with double doses will be over 80% of the population.

Right time now to have our lives back and for football clubs and businesses to be earning and maximizing profit and getting the economy and more important our lives back to normal doing things with no restrictions.

Israel has shown from data and I should add that almost 100% of that country has had the double dose and that the vaccines counter the Delta Variant comfortably, that's why Europe is going to stop restrictions on travel.

Let it go Davek, stop being a paranoid fear mongering hermit hiding in your bunker.

That's simply not true.

Only 34 million people over the age of 18 have had two jabs out of a population of 67 million...and we are a month away from the season.

Claiming stuff doesn't make it true.

Then football dies mate, like it or not teams like Tranmere, Oldham, Bradford etc cannot afford to go into a second season of no fans. In non league football it’s much worse, all bar the National League’s top division were unable to have a season last year, they cannot afford to do that again, they aren’t all blessed like the former Football League clubs down there
Better football clubs die than people.

what happens if covid is never eradicated and we just have to live with it like other viruses,
can we never go the match again?
All people who want it (the vast majority) will have vaccines soon. Then we cant start thinking of attending games safely (which means maybe less than capacity).

Remember when at the start of this pandemic the slogan was that there can be no going back to the "old normal"?

Well this government have forgotten that so they can start making cash again for their class...and you me and everyone else like us will be made to pay the price for that insanity.

No. Life goes on. If you’re scared, stay at home. It’s unfair to force everyone else’s lives to be worse indefinitely because you are scared.
I am not scared myself. But its not always about me is it?

There are times to make "life go on" this isn't one of them as things seem to be ramping up again.

Oh and life doesn't have to "go on" by the way. Life can be adapted.

The announcement about football stadia capacity is rendered almost totally moot by the fact that from July 20th, the tens of thousands of people who have refused to vaccinate, refused to socially distance, refused to quarantine, refused to isolate or to wear masks are all going to pile on to planes and fly to dozens of overcrowded holiday destinations, increase transmission rates amongst themselves and then return to the UK and proceed to spread it again.

We have a nation of people who claim to not know what to do unless the Government tells them what to do. When the Government tells them what to do, the people claim not to understand the instructions. When the instructions are explained, the people demand exemptions. When it's explained that exemptions will prolong the scenario, the people claim the scientists are lying. When the scientists are proved correct (after the event, when infection rates rise) the people blame the Government for not telling them what to do.

I am happy to continue minimising my contact with the majority of society.

Itls unfair to drive 2.5 clinically vulnerable people back into their own homes for months because 100,000 people per day will be getting infected and they will be most likely to suffer from any such infection.
