Kilkenny move into drive mode - 3-20 to 18 now ....edit 5-23 to 0-19

Dubs still level with Laois

That’s it though, you get a yellow for tugging a jersey or you get a yellow for going through a man. It’s an easy decision really ?
I only played regularly for my school and I only ever got one booking - for a simple push in the back as I was going up for the ball.

Mind you I was used as a "banger" by a soccer club to play in a match. Big problem when the ref decided to book me - I had serious trouble trying to remember my "name" :)

Fair play to Westmeath and Fermanagh for putting up a fight but Kilkenny and Tyrone just moved up the gears in the second halves..

Dublin finding Laois very difficult - 2 points atm

Is a banger over age?

If so it’s a ringer in the North ?

No mate, it was an unregistered player brought in illegally to help a team out when they were down in numbers. I think I was to be Dave something or other (cue Trigger!!)

Clubs were/are only permitted to play registered players. I forget what I muttered to the ref that day - thankfully he just scribbled something in his book and I heard no more.

A bit early to be swapping jersies :)

I actually like McQuillan as a ref - maybe because I have Cavan blood.

Hard to see what else he could do in that instance

They’ve lost McFaul from the panel which is a huge loss to Derry. However, that game tonight showed how vulnerable that Tyrone FB line is to a direct ball.
Tyrone were poor in the first half although apparently they had the wind. Fermanagh went backwards in the second until very late on when they got the goals. Overall room for significant improvement in both teams.

.....and now to Ulster @Armaghtoffee . I take it Tyrone are red hot favs
It would be nice to see someone other than Tyrone or Donegal win Ulster imo. The province needs Down and Derry to reemerge as a force again imo.

Ulster football final day in Clones back in the day, was my favourite GAA occasion along with Munster hurling final day in Thurles.
