Well all we can glean from this weekends action is that the Dubs are clesrly going to win Sam.

We’re poor at the back mate, we need a fullback.

Absolute culling down in Portloaise, we need to bin off the provisionals does no one any good, today was no use to Dublin or Laois, really felt for the Laois players and Laois supporters today.

Congrats to Offaly - that counters my above argument. lol

Just trying to work out how All Ireland series might work out:

If Galway, Derry, Dublin and Kerry retain their provincial titles, the seedings could be as follows:

1. Galway, Kerry, Dublin, Derry
2. Armagh^, Louth^, Clare, Sligo
3. Mayo, Roscommon, Tyrone, Monaghan
4. Donegal, Cork*, Kildare*, Westmeath

* Down and Offaly could yet knockout Kildare and Cork. ^ Armagh and Louth will be Seed 4 if they lose their semi-final.

Indeed. Probably the worst Dublin side for about 15 years and still wont have to get out of 2nd gear for another Leinster title. Maybe Kildare will pull something out of the bag.

Munster is the same as well. Maybe it's time to bin the provincials.

Ah dont get me wrong mate, I think we’re good, I’ll be disappointed not to win it this year, we defo have the players - we’re not great at the back though - the team that beats us I think will win it or we will.

Just my opinion I think the provincials have had their day, sadly - as we had great cats Vs Meath when winning a Leinster was an All Ireland effort - but those days are sadly gone.

Kerry wouldn’t have 38 titles coming out of any other provenance - as goid as they can be. Great to see Clare in the final this year mind - thought they were really good in Croker in the league.

I dunno if I'm as confident. We havent produced a stand out player into the squad in probably 2 or 3 years. The minors and U20's arent pulling up any trees either.

Maybe just the overall quality of the championship is weaker at the moment. Could see Galway winning it.

We we’re spoilt rotten with the team in 2011 that was added to by two or three golden generations of U21s - it was just a once in a lifetime cycle probably ever in the game and Gavin was the right man, the stars aligned.

We are back to our mean now, I actually think we are producing a few, Lee Gannon is every inch a Dublin Senior Footballer, Young O Dell had his best game for Dublin Vs Derry to my mind, while young Newcombe has been very good this year. They are prob the best of the last few year of U20’s bar Archer and Swan - who I don’t know why they haven’t been looked at by Dessie. Another I thought could make the grade was Mark Lavan, though bar a bench appearance in league hasn’t got a look in.

Watched the U20s last week, looked like one or two good prospects there. We’re out again Vs Kildare in Carlow on Tuesday - going try and get down to it if I can.

Im going to be dissapointed if we don’t win it, not in an arrogant way I just think we’re as good as any one else, there is no “great team” around at the moment in my opinion.
