Enjoy a chara. I'm in HQ this afternoon, via a skin full in Drumcondra.

Love a trip to Clones - not sure if it happens from your direction - but there is an old farmer on the Dublin side of Clones who opens one of his fields of the road, for parking, all the cars with rear wheel drivers and especially BMS get stuck - hes gas craic - always have a sandwich and cup of tea with him - watching his son pull Beemers out of the muck with their tractor. Only in the GAA. lol
Always parked up on the kerb for me to avoid that very scenario 😀

Apparently a supporter passed away at the Limerick v Clare game according to a poster on the Boards.ie website.

Whoever the poor person was suffered a medical episode, the ambulance personal were there for 30 minutes working on him or her. A similar thing happened at Goodison a few years ago as well.

It sure does put sport into perspective. May that poor person rest in peace.
Wasn't too far from this .. a fellow clare man too. At least his last moments on this earth were happy ones watching us beat the unbeatables!

Cork 0-27 Waterford 0-18, a comfortable win for Cork there in their opening Munster hurling championship game. Waterford are the only team yet to win a game in the Munster group stage, and as of now are facing elimination.

Mind you we lost our opening two games last year, and we still ended up gong through to the all Ireland series. Waterford so far have failed to make it out of Munster when it changed to the round robin format. They got to an all Ireland final in 2020 and semi final in 2021, but due to Covid the Munster championship went back to the old format for those years.

The old enemy Tipperary will be coming to Cork next Saturday evening, and a win there will put us in a very good position ahead of the trip to Ennis to play Clare. Ideally we need to go be going to Ennis with four points on the board. Waterford to be fair had a tough game against Limerick last week, so that would've taken a lot out of them imo.

Long time since I was in Clones. Nothing like a good win to put the rain out of the mind. How do you think you will do against Derry?
Derry will dominate around the middle but I think we will get over the line due to our forwards. Armagh very clearly were testing the template for Derry yesterday with the direct ball in. Derry really struggle with the high ball on top of the keeper.

That's the way that I see it as well. Unless someone does something crazy and get sent off.
