Further to this, don't you think it is good to have some flexibility in the style that we play? Do you think that against Liverpool/Man City etc... that we can play a high line? It gives Carlo the capacity to be different - he doesn't have to start every game, but he is an excellent tactical and rotational option.

So you want us to keep a lad who we could sell for around 20m, who has two years on his contract, who's 27, can only play on certin style of football and falls to bits if the crowd gets on his back a little. Just for two or three games a season?

Also "excellent" haha! I wouldn't call any of what's we played after lockdown as excellent. Anchilotti played that way because that was how he got the best out of the players he had. Not because he thought "this is how you win football matches!".

Tactical flex ability is good to have in a squad but you get that by having players that can do more then one job. Not by having lots of different players who can only do one specific job, this isn't American football. We're not in Europe next season so having 3 senior cb's and 1 youth prospect as our 4 cb's is more then enough.

exactly, keane is gash. a few above average performances in some of the most bizarre circumstances in football history and people seem to forget all that's gone before.
 

He’s joining Man Utd, no brainier for the lad.

If we had this lad at FF a few months back and had a deal agreed in principle he would have signed by now. Had his head turned by them, understandably. Good luck to him.
