I think we can blow Napoli out of the water in terms of wages so if we have offered a bigger contact and he decided to move to Napoli for footballing reasons like European football then we can't really compete.

However I think Napoli will struggle next season and the likelihood of Gattuso will be under huge pressure from other teams like Lazio, Juventus, Inter, Milan teams plus Atalanta.

I would like us to bully teams out of the negotiations but financially we are goosed. If this was 2 years ago, he'd be here by now.

Yeah. Everyone's come in, like all the clubs he has signed for ....oh that's right, he hasn't. Signs or not, it is Brands' job to get the best deal he can, he knows our budget, if he could save a few mill here, gives him scope elsewhere. But hey, you know better.

Make no mistake, the ONLY thing that is clear is that we were interested pre-COVID and when the GLOBAL PANDEMIC hit the club didn't want to commit to paying a huge amount of money without knowing the knock on effect. There is NOTHING wrong with that whatsoever, some would rather we paid the money and then went into administration just to be pro-active.

Nobody knows the situation now. Nobody apart from those at the club. I am not for or against Brands, he has alot to do and prove but a DOF's job isnt a job for one year, its seeing a plan and developing the club over a longer period.

It is absolutely comical, to see you, with a blatent vendetta against the man trying to beat him with a stick that has been made due to a global pandemic. If you dont like him, that's fine but trying to suggest this situation is down to him is nonsense because you have no facts at all, zero facts.

Criticise him for signing Alex Iwobi, all you want, i am there with you. But it appears in the speculation that if the pandemic didn't hit, we'd have had Gabriel sorted by March. We aren't mega rich, we have money yes but its limited in how we can spend it and how much we can spend due to FFP. If you're revenue stops, naturally your spend is going to slow down too.
