This going back to the same thing...we are not decisive in any transfer dealings perhaps even more so since Brands is at this club. We are days away to the start of pre season with a squad thats probably one of the worst i have ever seen with the exception of a couple of players...very concerned at this stage and i belive distance with top 6 looks huge today.

We will make signings, we will have at least one in place by September 12th, I intend not to panic over signings until it gets near the October 5th deadline
Nah signings have to be here before the first match or we've let down the manager. If Brands is shopping on deadline day again then for me he has failed.

Id say he would actually improve our squad. If we could sell Keane for 35m and get Silva on a free that would be great business allowing us to put all of those resources into the positions we need now, and buying Braithwaite a season or two.
Silva is starting in the Champions League right now, he would immediately improve us.
Also, I dont get the people saying "6th place is impossible, 8th is our best hope". Theres literally 3 points between the two this season. Maybe the rest of the league falls off a cliff and it becomes a bigger gap again, but that seems unlikely since the rise of Wolves, LCFC. The move from 8th to 6th is nothing compared to the move from 12th to 8th.
I definitely think CM is far more in need of attention than CB. If we had energy in the middle of the park I reckon we’d bridge the gap to 8th or so quite easily. I’ve said before having people able to defend in the middle of the park will take a lot of pressure off the back four.

I tend to agree though realistically I think we'll still be after 1-2 players come October. It's just the way this window is bound to be.
But, we should have our priority targets (a CM, a wide player, a CB?) in by the start of the season. Obviously that depends what the club define as their priorities.
I imagine RB and LB will be the ones we leave until late.
