Well after 3 years it probably is enough time to judge whether or not the 'vision' Brands has is worth sticking with.

Would hope so. It has to stop. Saying that its only 12 months since we payed 30m for iwobi. The ceiling valuation on him should have been 10m. And i am being extra generous there(my valuation is zero)
I cant help cry when i think with a little decent scouting just what we could of got in europe for 30m. I watch a lot of la liga and i see players ten times better than iwobi who wouldnt have cost 30m.
Brands worries me.

All well and good saying as a viewer ‘this player looks good’ ‘he’ll do a job’, the problem is is that is thoughts through tinted eyes, a club’s scouting network may see weaknesses in those players that make them unsuitable for playing in the Premier League. Another factor is that, in a lot of cases, Spanish clubs tend to sign South American/Asian/African players for good deals because Spanish work permit laws are a lot less strenuous to deal with than UK ones

It was crazy business. Strikes me that they went all out for Zaha, needed a RW and Iwobi’s name came up last minute. Panic buying for sure.

Brands had a reputation for getting exciting young talent into PSV from South America etc. I don’t know whether it’s easier to sell regular European football etc with PSV but he doesn’t seem to be having the same impact here.

Fair point about the permit. But a few who i have seen are as you say south american and current internationals.
I would still have taken that over iwobi who to me was a guarenteed waste of money. I wont get over Everton paying that for iwobi for a long time. If ever. Even other awful signings like bolasi i thought well he has got flashes of great play.
Ive never ever seen iwobi do anything. For everton and arsenal.
Cant get my head around brands justifying 30m.
