So if we break the rules, everyone knows you have to sell next year, is anybody going to give you big money for your players if they know you are desperate and need to sell? No
Its also not just a fine, you also need to submit a plan on how you will break even and have the UEFA auditors monitor your accounts to ensure you are reducing costs.
Plus we are going to break the rules anyway without spending a penny this year, because our losses are way bigger than our income

Well come October PP is granted on BMD and with it Usmanov's naming rights deal will be likely announced - if the DM were correct its around £200 million over 10 years - that could easily be financed to give a certain chunk now to allow us to get out of any minus with FFP.

You then have the liked of Walcott, Bolasie, Sandro, Besic etc all out of contract next summer saving us about 300k a week in wages.

It's a shambles if we dont back Ancelotti this summer I cant state that enough - its like you lot were in a coma when Southampton were running rings around us at Goodison & relegated Bournemouth trounced us by 3 goals in our own backyard.

Now isn't the time to be stringent with our spending - thats the summer when we have a good enough squad to not need to go out and invest which clearly isnt the case at present.

We will back him ffs, but it’s got to be done in a way that we can keep within the FFP guidelines. This isn’t a fantasy situation where you can just throw hundreds of millions every season and offer £100-200k a week wages at players and have it have no impact

It genuinely feels on here at times that certain fans want us to go financially bankrupt in order to just brag that we have a squad of superstar players

We aint going bankrupt backed by billionaires worth £15 billion.

The club should be forcasting the likes of Bolasie, Sandro & Walcott being out the door next summer.

We have gotten rid of the likes of Schneiderlin, Niasse, Martina, Garbutt off the books this summer.

We should be trying to get high earners offering little like Bernard & Delph off this summer.

We have the USM naming rights deal coming in hopefully next year.

We'll likely be selling Richarlison for £90+ million next summer.

Im seeing nothing to suggest the manager will be backed adequately enough this summer.

Yes Allan looks a goer but 1-2 players alone are not going to drag us up the table from 12th to be mixing it up for Europe.

No one is saying don't spend, my god we need to, but people have to leave and until we have deals lined up for people to go out, then I would be surprised if we sign anyone.
Brands job is to make sure we are run correctly not just sign players, he has to manage the budget that's his job, he is also in the last year of his contract, So what you are saying is blow money this year get into even more debt and then he leaves us in a massive hole and pisses off?
So we can hire another fella to sell everyone? And then moan about how crap the new fella is?
Or Brands stays we spend big this year make a bit of progress and then sell our best players next year and go back to square one and moan about how crap Brands is next summer?

They aren’t going to be backing us forever mate, at some point they will reign it in. That’s why we need to be a bit more logical and sensible and stop throwing money away

Crying over a couple of million yet he spunked more on Alex Iwobi?

Marcel Brands time is nearing the end.

Well yeah the Iwobi deal was absolute deadline day desperation at its very worst.

But just because we paid a silly fee for one player does not mean we should continue to do so.

We've made a whole catalogue of errors in recent years, so unfortunately we need to be much more sensible and change our whole recruitment policy. Brands has to prove he's learned lessons from the shambles of last summer. He needs to sign young players with no serious injury issues, and at sensible prices, and in the correct positions, and earlier in the window. But he should not be spending astronomical amounts on average players just for the sake of it.

Literally can’t believe he’s decided to become an accountant this summer after thinking he was Wayne Lineker for the past two.

He spent £30 Million on Delph and Iwobi.

He now won’t pay £25 for Gabriel? Hope he turns out to be Maldini myself.

Don’t worry though we don’t need a CB, because we like to make things up in our heads to make ourselves feel better.

“Keane has been really good” yeah Michael Keane has been really good because we don’t have a midfield and have had to play a deep line, buy a midfield he will he asked to do what he has shown he can’t.

Anyway carry on lads our road to Total insignificance Continues, next to join the train Jesse Lingard.

I agree I don't expect them to be throwing £100 million a season at us - but this season simply isnt the summer to be reigning in the spending when you look at the squad of losers we have currently.

Its akin to appointing Jurgen Klopp and not spending because they gave alot of money to Woy & Todgers to waste.

I just want Everton to be successful for once and its never going to happen if we keep shooting ourselves in the foot.

Reigning it in now, survival is now the option.

Survive, build the stadium, sell, count profit.

Don’t think it will be anything different to that.
