By working this way in the transfer market we will miss out on some good players. We won't however end up paying £45m for the likes of sigurdsson, £25m for the likes of bolasie and klaassen, we didn't end up paying £35m for mina or £80m for zaha and the club will be better on the whole for it.

I'm not going to loose my mind on the club walking away from buying a player in a position they aren't prioritising and neither should anyone else.

Although it's fairly obvious that there's posters on this fourm who's sole reason for being seems to be hating the club they claim to love and no amount of common sense with change their rhetoric.

You'll find that many on here have supported the club season after season, transfer window after transfer window yet to be continuously disappointed. Many just want what the board, manager, directors kept telling us...that we'll fight for europe...for titles (cups), etc...yet again not only failing to reach goals but feeling like the distance between the top clubs keeps getting bigger season after season. You are very good at finding excuses but the reality is that our squad is dire yet no signings, no changes nothing that would give us fans the confidence that we are on the track to recovery. Something is wrong in this club and has been for the last few years. 3 weeks...yes 3 weeks from the start of the season! At this stage I am not even under illusion that we'll fight for europe...just very concerned that we could end up relegated...

Yeah just us and 14 other clubs in the league every year.

The fact is we've been crippled financially by Walsh and koeman. We've paid too much for crap players on too big wages and it's now stopping us from spending the cash we want to.

Also don't know if you've noticed but a global pandemic has cost this club millions. Us, as a club that just posted a loss of 100 million recently. Or would you rather we bankrupt ourselves because you aren't happy with the speed the club is working at?

Some posters on this fourm are like little children complaining about their parents not being able to by them the latest games console and all the best games. Blissfully unaware that there is a recession going on and the parents have bearly got enough to put food on the table.

Brands has been equally as bad as Walsh by the way...i 'll be a lot happier if the club just say we have no money and we'll fight relegation this year than promise the earth and delivering nothing.
It's all about setting the right expectations...

Brands has had his hands tied trying to sort out the rubbish Walsh has done. I'm not saying every player brands has bought in has been a worldly but at least they will retain their value to some degree. With the likes of digne and richarlison we will be in the black when it comes to totting up money spent to money made.

You wouldn't be alot happier if the club said that we just want to avoid relagation. You'd do the same thing with that that you would if the club said they want Europe this season and use it as a stick to beat the club with.

People like you are the same people who are screaming out for us to just pay the extra money sign Allan. Then if he doesn't hit the ground running will be on his and brands back after 1 game going "what the hell was brands thinking buying a crap 30 year old. With no resale value for crazy money on too much wages. Now we're stuck with him for 5 years". The same people that say they want us to buy young hungry up and coming talent, then crucify them because their not the finished article and say we need players in their prime, then complain they have no resale value and we can't shift them on.

I honestly believe that there are posters on here that if we won the league would moan we didn't break the record points tally.

Brands did manage to shift a good deal of deadwood and unwanted younger players but does not get credit for that.

In the agm he said since he's come here he's had to do over 70 transfer deals. Which he said was insane and should never be happening at a club at this level in such a short amount of time.

I think people truly underestimate the state this club was left in by the likes of Walsh.
