If you allow them to, journalists will play you like a fiddle.
Try not accept every report verbatim, remember they are usually based on the scantiest of evidence and bulked out with supposition , sometimes informed often less so.
If they seem to support your own inherent bias, scrutinise them even more carefully before you beginning issuing apocryphal statements which will possible look foolish in several weeks time.
Remember like all other clubs Brands has a budget he has to adhere to and manage whilst pursuing multiple targets .
Finally await the end of the current window before judging his performance, it seems only fair to do so .
