Ruiz has been linked with Madrid. Zielinski And Hysaj the right back, both only have a year left.

So maybe they are hoping to raise quite a bit.

What is 73m euros? 50m sterling?

Be surprising to see Napoli spend what would effectievely be £80m on two players. Although if they are selling Koulibaly then it explains why they'd want Gabriel.

He is exactly the type of player we should be targeting. Young, talented and his best years ahead of him. Him and Holgate would give us so much more solidity in defence. Saying that we desperately need a RB as well.

I’ve seen him play for Lille a few times, he’s not the finished article, but I think he would compliment Holgate very well and will only improve. He’s left footed, strong in the air and decent on the deck. But like every signing from the continent it’s risk, if he can settle in the Premier League.

I remember saying the same about Moise Kean.. and he was far more coveted than this guy.. no one knows how these things will work out it’s all a role of the dice to some degree (I still hold out hope for MK btw)

That just tells me that we've spoken to him as have others and he's yet to decide. Nothing for or against it going ahead.

We had already agreed terms with him and lille back in February.

Medical was booked in for May, but the virus happened and has allowed Napoli to swoop in.

Hopefully we can get it over the line.
