No dig it out....Thanks Joey , I will remove it , I'd heard that driving copper nails into the root will prevent a regrowth , is this the best course of action ?

It may work if you can follow the main runners the rhizomes digging the channels it has headed it could be 12-15 feet from the main plant .....then immediately put down a top quality thick ground cover overlapped pinned down well eBay will have this year get the heavy duty material, and metal pegs these oyster pearl gravel from the buliders merchants in big sacks .,...next spring plant nice hardy perrenials shrubs etc by. Cutting an X to plant also like carpet with your heavy duty ground cover plate a small off cut in a v to fit tightly around the plant pin that and replace gravel around the base of your new plants water in well with a pinch full of bone meal in your hole you make before plantingWhats your opinion on using an industrial grinder to grind bamboo into dust?

Make sure you level of landscape the area to your liking once the Bamboos are crushed and the holes well for example in with top soil if needed etc .....
Definitely if you read my post put the oyster pearl on a out 3 cm thick plus over lap the ground cover heavy duty well .....,.play ting up next spring will also use the nutrients in your soil up by all means you can Glycosylated the remains growth of the bamboo.....Access meant they couldnt grind all of it, but the majority, so will follow the weed killer advice on those left, and the small random ones that will pop up. But the mothership is basically soil now.
Not sure what you mean about putting a ground cover on whats left. Will that stop any remnants of the grinder spouting?

It’s getting banned in a few countries isn’t it? Possibly carcinogenic. I’ve used round up plenty of times in agricultural use. Not sure I’d be so keen nowGlyphosate?!?!?!?!
When you plant put a v cut piece of ground cover material tight around the base of each plant pinned down hard, and cover thicker with the oyster pearl gravelDont want to sound thick, but if I cover an area of soil/ex bamboo with a heavy duty ground cover, plus oyster pearl, how can I plant anything without digging holes in the pearl and cover?
If you use it safely it's OK ...... mask up gloves etc -i have COSH1 & 2 qualifications .... far worse chemicals than that around......It’s getting banned in a few countries isn’t it? Possibly carcinogenic. I’ve used round up plenty of times in agricultural use. Not sure I’d be so keen now
