I hired a stump grinder for 65 quid and the gardener charged me another 60 to do the work but he is cheap. Also at the weekend there I got sent some photos of a guy who mangled his foot on a stump grinder, and when I say mangled I mean absolutely destroyed.

Argh that's what I would be afraid of.

Love spring, just bought red and green grape vines, pomegranates are flowering, new fig and pear trees sprouting and cherry tree. Even the Avacado tree has survived winter. The gloss has been taken off slightly by having to pay €30 for a stone eagle my 4 year old smashed in the garden centre.
EAGLES! EAGLES!

Last year I got a 6m long wooden box. I cut two 2m long boxes out of it to fit between fence posts. They are 2.5ft wide and 2.5ft high, not knowing much about flowers I ended up buying a load of flowers which ended up being mostly annuals. I thought all flowers just grew back every year. Now the boxes are terrible looking and wanted to know if people could show me pictures of their gardens or tell me names of their plants to get ideas. I'm looking to mix it with spring and summer flowers to keep it flowering for as long as possible. Cheers

I'm not a garden expert just an enthusiast but one of my favorite flowers to grow are zinnias. They are such an easy crop to grow and manage, they are okay with lots of rain or when the weather gets super hot and dry they still thrive. They also provide you with an abundance of flowers so many that you will have enough to decorate your house in addition to your garden. Moreover, butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds love them too so you will see many of those around your garden because of them. Here are some shots of my zinnias.
