Late to this thread to apologies for slating his loan, too busy eating huge slices of the humble stuff, lets just hope he can keep it up!!!!!
 

I don't think I've known a player to go from relatively unrated to fan favourite as quickly as Barry has, I had my doubts about him but he has proved me wrong in style. The guy knows how to appeal to Everton fans and he just gets it, I hope we'll have many good years out of him because at the moment it just seems like signing him permanently is a formality at this point.

He covered serious ground yesterday. You can afford to go year by year with players his age as long as you're straight with them IMO.
 
Hes defo getting better as he gets older tho.

Never really rated him around the time the RS were in for him, he wasnt turbo gash, he was just decent, not even close to the 18m they would have paid.

Same. He's been outstanding for City over the last three years, so much so that when the rumours of him joining on loan first came about I didn't believe it as I didn't think they'd be stupid enough to get rid before seeing if Fernandinho would come good etc.

Unlike Neville, whose legs were gone aged 30, Barry isn't showing any of that. But it should be a one year rolling deal and we should keep an eye out for signs of him fading.
