Another good game. Does everything well.

He might be well into his 30s but how the likes of Cleverley are ahead of him in the England squad is beyond me

He could probably be effective for a few more years. Pace has never really been his calling card.
 
Gary Lineker tweeted about England needing an out and out CDM in the last two friendlies, clicked the tweet, pretty much every reply was 'Gareth Barry'. He's superb. You just don't know how good he is until he plays for your team. Id give him a 2yr deal with an option of a third, tomorrow.

This 100% I was so naive/ignorant to his abilities, been our player of the season for me along with Lukaku which in a way is kind of disappointing
 

You know the way they say some players have got a yard 'up there' (in their head)? Looks like he knows what's going to happen about 5 days before everyone else.

Outstanding again today.

See. Anyone can make mistakes.

And I'm one of them.

Barry has been exceptional. Dare i say better than anyone thought. Even those of us who said he'd be a good signing.

Can you quote me please ijjy? Fairly sure I said he was going to be good for us. I need a shield for when Oviedo turns out to be brilliant.
