They're getting better mate - for example, all pre-match press conferences are now on a Thursday simply to maximise publicity.

But to be honest I'm simply glad such a good and experienced player is staying - the timing is irrelevant to me, I'm well more interested in Gareth Barry than I am in Brazil v Germany.

1) Everyone was crying about us not making a signing 10 minutes ago. They probably just did it as quick as possible.

2) Not like Gareth Barry, who had already been on loan, signing is going to get Messi and Neymar wanting to join because they've seen it on the front page of Marca. I don't think anyone's arsed.
