First signing, woohoo! Not only is he an exellent footballer, Gaz also seems to be very level headed and someone who hopefully could be of use on the sidelines as well once his legs give way.

Martinez has mentioned several times now that he doesn't want to disrupt the squad with new players and has praised the older players for their support of younger squad members. Hopefully the signing of Barry instead of an equal but new player means more room for strenghtening the squad with other new exciting players without rocking the boat.
