Think Stones had ankle ligament damage that needed surgery. He was injured Oct 5th and is not expected back until the New Year and being young he'll probably heal faster than Barry.
Guess it depends on whether he needs surgery or not.

Usually 2 months mate, depends on how severe it is.
That is very true, did not think of that aspect at all..
Lukaku last year in the derby rolled his ankle, that was ligament damage iirc as well, no? that was ~6 weeks..
....I'm expecting late January return which is a lot better than earlier predictions.

We've had awful luck with injuries this season. One key player after another!
shame for gazza bazza, but i do think roberto has been a bit too rigid with the mcCarthy/Barry partnership, as good as it is. We are strong in that area, injuries happen, and when they do you get to learn something about other players and where they are at
....an opportunity for somebody to step into the team and demand a regular place.

Hopefully besic gets more of a run than gibson. I think gibson will struggle in RM's system he's not mobile enough to cover the sort of ground mccarthy does and he isn't intelligent enough to spot out the dangers that barry does.
