I actually just rewatched the whole 2nd half, and I have to say Baz had the aim of messing with Costa the entire game. Every chance he could, he went in full force to remind Costa. Again and again, even when Baines was collateral damage. Knowing he'd eventually snap, and he did, and kept his cool not to react and allow Costa to look the victim and it worked! Up the baz! Not many players can do that.

Spot on, we've all been moaning that we're too nice - well Barry set about Costa last night, gave him no quarter, niggled him, wound him up and got him sent off! Reid and Bracewell would have been proud of him. The only thing he did wrong was make a stupid foul on Fabregas.

Yes there is still more to this team and we lacked somebody who had that ability to thread a pass through a compact defence - if anything Pienaar would have been ideal but for whatever reason didn't get on - but overall we played well, and were much better than WBA.

But they did what they needed to win and that's that. It happens. We've done it to sides before and they have. Pulis is the master of it.

Please don't mention PULIS on the same page as Everton. His contribution to football is NIL. Every team he manages becomes boring. Even when he speaks of another club he's boring. He always gives the full title to any club he talks about, ie West Bromwich Albion Football Club, West Ham United Football Club, Bournemouth & Boscombe Athletic Football Club, I was hoping W.B.A. would draw Newport in one of the cups, to hear him say Newport County Association Football Club Football Club. Reidy & Gerry Francis used to work with him, they do the same now.
What really annoys me is: He doesn't say the post codes.
 
I think alot of you are looking at the sending off the wrong way.

Hes going to miss 2 league games...then come back fit for the FA cup semi final. Its actually in hindsight a very clever move by him (if intended) as what if he had picked up cards in those games, he could have missed the semi.

Also now gives Besic and McCarthy a chance to develop a partnership.
 

He's looked great this season BUT this could be a blessing in disguise if Besic comes in and performs. Bags of potential and a little more eye for a pass which we have sorely missed this season.

And RM might have found the answer to our defensive frailties,more steel in our play,although there are more than a few referees who'll love to scupper that.

Disagree slightly mate, wouldn't of won yesterday if it wasn't for him in ways both goals come from him fighting tooth and nail to get the ball first then playing a forward pass hahah think he was class today, like he has all season for me Besic still needs to improve and stay fit he can't put 5 games together next season will be his I think, McCarthys energy is so important too I love how nasty Barry was but still looked and come a way from the game classy people would of rolled round the floor just stood head to head with Costa as a fan love his passion and desire to win

No mate. I agree with what you're saying. He has been fantastic this season. Im looking more into the future seasons. Besic has been unlucky with injuries since he moved over and we can all assume he will take Barrys helm when his legs FINALLY go. He needs a run of games so he isn't caught flat footed when he finally getting the starting role.
