Personally I hope he stays and sees out the final year of his contract. Has been a good servant to the club, a true professional and a nice chap to boot. We could do with his experienced head with potentially a long season of games ahead. Has taken a lot of flack from the fans over the years - mostly unwarranted when at times was the best man on the pitch.

I think it's because Koeman has recently stated that if Gaz Baz fancies more first team action away from Goodison Park, He won't stand in his way...
I hope it's just that chat anyway... I really like him, I will miss his calmness, Class and composure...his speed ? Not so much. He has been blummin terrific in his stint here and Deffo better than many would dare admit to.
 

Good news this. We need to start clearing the dead wood and buying younger hungry talent who can cope with the number of games and have the quality needed. Barry isn't that man anymore
 
The only thing more certain than a Barry yellow card is a RS penalty.

Would be sorry to see him go but deserves to choose if he wants to move on for more football.

We replaced him in January with Schneiderlin mate.

Klaassen, Davies, Gana, Morgs, Besic and McCarthy is plenty of options for the midfield 3.

Loved Barry when he first came, played an important role for the club, but he isn't fit for purpose anymore at this level, so would be the right decision I feel. Appreciate him, both as a man and a player, though.
 
Going on a free? Ive also seen Newcastle mentioned on Twitter? Good luck to him either way, really think we are covered and he wouldnt get much game time now, been a top pro, good luck to him.

So right on RS penalties

As soon as I saw the score for Lpool Watford I just knew there would be a Liverpool penalty. It's almost as certain as a Messi/Ronald monthly hatrick

Mccarthy and unfortunately Besic are basically enigmas, any injury to one of schneids/gana/davies/klaasen and we have 3 players for 3 positions.

I think he would help in all our cup games etc and a nice rotation in the premier league to keep fitness up etc.

Intelligent and experienced player, just personally think he can still do bits for us.
 
I think he's able to get a two year deal whereas it's likely we are only willing to offer him a one year deal.

We had to give jags 2 years for the same reason otherwise he'd have gone (something we couldn't afford with mori injury) and not enough to buy two defenders
